wedding dress Ok...where to start...Mark kinda got it all but I'll go into as well... We've decided on July 6 as the date we put the chains on each other...just kidding. Mark worked out a budget but we'll have to rework it a bit because I'd like some input too! :D I got my dress on Monday, which was no fun at all. I hate trying on clothes, always have. It works my nerves, makes me sweat and almost cry because I am so self conscience and seeing yourself in a brightly lit dressing room mirror does not allow any room for hiding flaws. And this time I was trying on 20 lb dresses, heh. And the cost, my god I never thought they would be that high even for the most basic gown. I went to Davids Bridal to see that 99 dollar sale, and it was a pitiful 2 racks with damaged dresses and the one in my size that was beautiful turned out that it shouldn't have been on that rack. So I had a few picked out, and tried them on and fussed until I found "The One." I slipped it on with ease and it zipped up like a dream and fell on all the right places, even the sleeves are romantic. It's a beautiful dress and I look damn good in it. So what if it costs 450 dollars. *sarcasm* And my consultant wasn't kidding when she said the dresses run small...the dress is a good 4 sizes larger than normal. And I do have to get it altered since I'm so short and it's big around the back but I look awesome in it. Even the tiaras and headpieces cost a fortune. My Maid of Honor got her dress as well and it's a beautiful dress in a seafoam color, which inspired the colors of the wedding, We are going to do it in a sage or seafoam color and a cream. And I looked at a few tuxes too and I want to see Mark in a vest and matching tie and then the traditional black coat and whatnot. And they have gorgeous vests in a nice sage color paisley print that would set his eyes off nicely, and how convienient that Johnelle and Mark are both redheads. It will be cute. So my car is looking like it needs a makeover now. I hit a deer on Sunday at nightime and that was the first wreck or anything I'd been in and it scared the shit out of me to where I couldn't drive after that. And Jonathan was in the car but he was alright, and Mark screamed cause it was on side but he was ok, and I jammed my damn pinky. The car doesn't look too bad it's all fixable. Typing is going rather slow now since I have a monster in my lap trying to type. He's so adorable but he's being a brat lately. Well, I have a lot of cleaning to do and whatnot so...later. AND DIBS ON DIABLO TONIGHT MARK! love you... written on 2003-03-12 at 10:52 a.m. by sweetsolace. |
