Breathe deep...

mother's day

Ok, I'm back. I actually just woke up which is unusual for this time of day but I'll tell you why...

My first mothers day was wonderful. Last year when I was pregnant I was included in the festivities but this year I had my baby and it was nice. We got all dressed up and me mom and dad and Mark and Jonathan went and ate at the Galthouse hotel in the top of the tower. And this year we got to sit in the revolving room, which slowly moves so you get an awesome view of the Ohio and Indiana, although Mark was a tad nervous about the height part, his hands were sweaty...it was cute. I looked nice to, I had a blue blouse with bell sleeves and a criss cross front with an empire waist line, very light and a pair of tan pants and I actually wore open toed heels which I never do because I hate feet, especially mine, but everyone said it looked nice. I guess I do have normal feet...I am just so hard on myself that it's crippling. Mark looked nice too. His hair has gotten so long and when he takes it down I see other women look at him and I'm all like "Haha! He's mine wench!" And Jonathan was in a cream colored pooh one piece with a cute collar and matching socks and his little kid leather shoes, he looked like a doll. ok. So now lets back everything up to the night before, quick recap:

Travis came over and we hung out for awhile and Mark went to bed and I stayed up with him because he was in, how shall I say, a moment of distress. I stayed up until 8 that morning, went and layed down and woke up at 9:30. Mark was in the shower and a card and box were next to me, which I opened and he got me a very pretty mother's bracelet of sorts, sterling silver with sapphires in bunches of four chased by silver leaves set with diamonds. And my first mothers day card was so cute and sweet..:) So we all get ready and go and eat like kings and my dad decides we should go up on the Belvedere which is right next to the hotel. The winds were whipping and it was so nice, not hot or anything, and then we keep walking and check out all the boats, The Star of Lousiville, The Belle, The Spirit of Jefferson, and walk clean over to joes Crab Shack. Which was interesting. We stopped in for a break and some drinks, and Mark had this huge tye dye drink that had Pina Colada, Strawberry Daquiri, Blue Hawaiian, and something like puckers....I don't know. And I had the shaker-rita which was tequila and lime and grand marinier in a tumbler which I got to keep. Meantime Jonathan is charming everyone he sees with his smiles and good nature...so we walk all the way to the cars and mom takes Jonathan and we go home, get the boy, jump over to Mark's mom, we see Gordon unfortunately.

You know, in high school Gordon wasn't that bad. I mean, don't get me wrong he was annoying and we teased Mark about his brother all the time, but he wasn't nearly as much of an asshole as he is now. But I'm sure he knows that. I started something yesterday asking about Holleigh and Gordon jumped my case and Mark stepped in and defended me hardcore and ended that with a quickness. He's never had to do that before, and I was so glad he stood up for me like that. It wasn't that big of a deal either way but it was cool.

So, we come home and it's 8:30 and I've had one hour of sleep in the past 48 hours and I'm freezing and tired. We finally make our way to bed and we make love, which was a wonderful way to end the day. It was good.

Now I am awake, sore from walking too much in high heels, and I have so much to do...*sniff* the magic is over!!!
